Our History

We are a 120-year-old bank from Elmore City, Oklahoma, renamed Old Glory Bank. Founded in 1903 as First State Bank of Elmore City, we were the first state-chartered bank in Oklahoma. We became Old Glory Bank in November of 2022.

We’re a real, FDIC-insured, chartered bank—not just a branded app. Steeped in ties to community and small-town heritage. While our values are traditional, our technology is cutting-edge.

Our Name

The term “Old Glory” has long been an endearing reference to America’s great Flag, the proud “Red, White, and Blue.” In 1824, Sea Captain William Driver named his flag “Old Glory” because, to him, it represented everything that was glorious about America.

We named ourselves Old Glory Bank because we, too, believe in everything that makes America glorious.

If you’re not involved in suspicious or criminal activities, we will not share your data with any agency of state or federal governments unless we are compelled by a court of competent jurisdiction (i.e., we lose a fight—and we don’t usually lose). We know the difference between law-abiding and criminal activity. Lawfully exercising your constitutional rights is not criminal activity.

After all, Old Glory Bank’s mission statement is the United States Constitution.
