Our Name

The bank named for the flag that forever waves strong

The term “Old Glory” has long been an endearing reference to America’s great Flag, the proud “Red, White, and Blue.” In 1824, Sea Captain William Driver named his flag “Old Glory” because, to him, it represented everything that was glorious about America.

We named ourselves Old Glory Bank because we, too, believe in everything that makes America glorious.

We know that you, like us, still get a lump in your throat whenever you see Old Glory. Help us spread that joy. Send us an amazing photo of our flag, and if selected, we’ll share it for everyone to enjoy.
