Old Glory Bank Merit Scholarship
At Old Glory Bank, we celebrate a vision where opportunity is dictated by the merit of the individual and our shared identity as citizens of the United States of America.
This one-time, $10,000 scholarship is open to rising college Freshmen and is focused on recognizing the academic, service, and leadership qualities of the applicant.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Old Glory Bank Account Holder: Applicants must be a customer in good standing of Old Glory Bank.
- Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents.
- Academic Standing: Must be in good academic standing or a class of 2025 high school graduate with a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.8 on a 4.0 scale.
- Enrollment Status: Open to all high school seniors and class of 2025 high school graduates planning to enroll full-time for the 2025-2026 academic year in any field of study at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Character & Leadership: Must demonstrate strong leadership, community involvement, and academic excellence.

Old Glory Bank Merit Scholarship
Selection Criteria
- Academic Excellence: Based on GPA, rigor of coursework, and academic achievements.
- Leadership & Community Service: Demonstrated through extracurricular activities, volunteer work, or leadership roles.
- Essay Quality: Evaluated for originality, clarity, impact, and insight into the Applicant’s character, academic potential, and leadership abilities.
Award Distribution
- The recipient will receive a one-time $10,000 scholarship award.
- Funds will be deposited directly to the recipient’s Old Glory Bank Account for use for tuition, fees, or other educational expenses.
- The scholarship is non-renewable and cannot be deferred.
Additional Terms & Conditions
- Deadline: All applications must be submitted by May 17, 2025 at 11:59 pm Central Daylight Time. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Notification: The scholarship recipient will be notified via email and announced on the Old Glory Bank website.
- Non-Discrimination: Selection is made without regard to race, gender, religion, or national origin.
- Verification: Old Glory Bank reserves the right to verify all application materials and may disqualify any applicant found to have submitted false or misleading information.
- Use of Likeness: By accepting the scholarship, recipients grant Old Glory Bank permission to use their name, photograph, and general information for promotional purposes.
Applicants may not be:
- Children or grandchildren of current employees, officers, or owners of Old Glory Bank and/or Old Glory Holding Company are not eligible to apply.
- Students who are not U.S. citizens or legal residents of the United States.
